Dr. Jun Peng is the Distinguished Professor of Shandong University, and the deputy dean of Shandong University Institute of Advanced Medicine. He has received the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, the One-Hundred National Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award, first prize of the Natural Science Award for Outstanding Achievements in Scientific Research of Institutions of Higher Education by the ministry of education and several prizes of Shandong Province and the Science and Technology Progress Award. He mainly studies the immunological pathogenesis and immune tolerance of primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) and has published 14 papers in Blood as the corresponding/co-corresponding author. As a principal investigator, he has undertaken nine national and ministerial levels research projects, such as the National Natural Science Foundation of China and the sub-project of the National Program on Key Basic Research Project of China (973 Program) of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Professor Peng is a member of the thrombosis and hemostasis group of the Chinese Society of Hematology, and the Professional Committee of Experimental Hematology，Chinese Society of Pathophysiology. He serves as the editorial board member of Thrombosis Journal, Thrombosis Research, Journal of Clinical Hematology and Chinese Journal of Hematology.
